In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, the Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals have been split into two groups.
The Mumbai Indians (MI) are in Group A of the cash-rich competition, while the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are in Group B. (CSK).
Mumbai Indians (5 championships, 6 finals), Kolkata Knight Riders (2 titles, 3 finals), Rajasthan Royals (1 title, 1 final), Delhi Capitals (0 titles, 1 final), and Lucknow Super Giants (0 titles, 0 finals)
Royal Challengers Bangalore (0 titles, 3 finals), Sunrisers Hyderabad (1 title, 2 finals), Gujarat Titans (0 titles, 0 finals), Punjab Kings (0 titles, 1 final)
Each team will play 14 games during the league stage of the Indian Premier League 2022. The ten teams will play twice against the other teams in their group and in the same row, and once against the remaining teams in another group. The Mumbai Indians, for example, will play four times against the four teams in their group,
once against the Chennai Super Kings (who are in the same row as MI), and once against the remaining Group B teams , Kolkata Knight Riders will meet Sunrisers Hyderabad twice, Royal Challengers Bangalore will face Rajasthan Royals twice, Delhi Capitals will face Punjab Kings twice, while Gujarat Titans will face Lucknow Super Giants twice. As a result, each club will play twice against five teams and once against four teams.
